IN UNIFORM.

Alex H. Paul, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Paul, 1215 S. Mulberry Street, recently was promoted to the rank of technician fifth grade at Fort Riley, Kansas, where he is stationed with the motor pool detachment of the cavalry school. He has served in New Zealand, New Caledonia, Guadalcanal and New Guinea and wears a star for the battle of Guadalcanal.

Allen (sic Alex H.) Paul, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Paul, 1215 S. Mulberry street, has been discharged from the armed forces after spending 40 months, 27 of which were spent overseas as an anti-aircraft gunner.  Having served on the Solomon islands, New Guinea, New Zealand and New Caladonia, he wears the Asiatic-Pacific ribbon with two stars, pre-Pearl Harbor and Good Conduct ribbons.
