Lt. Melvin C. Olson

 

Lt. Melvin Olson Is Wounded in Germany

Lt. Melvin C. Olson, 28, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. K. Olson, 3102 Leech avenue, who has been serving with Gen. Patton’s Third army, was wounded in Germany March 4. The telegram to his wife, who resides with their son Jerry in Bronson, stated further that Lt. Olson was hospitalized in England.

Lt. Olson, with a field artillery unit of the Fourth armored division, enlisted February 15, 1942, and took his basic training and officer’s training at Fort Sill, Okla. He embarked for overseas in June, 1944.
