Pfc. Harry P. Newton

Pfc. Harry P. Newton, whose wife and children reside at 4621 Floyd avenue, has been awarded the Philippine liberation medal.  He has been overseas for more than a year and before going to the Philippines was stationed in Hawaii and New Guinea.

Pfc. Harry Newton, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Newton, 4621 Floyd Avenue, has been awarded the combat infantry badge for participation in the 30th Cyclone division’s drive across northern Bataan. A member of Company D, 152d infantry, he already had received the Philippine liberation medal and the Asiatic-Pacific medal. He has been overseas for 14 months.
