Joe P. Mullen, aviation machinist’s mate third class, 905 S. Helen street, was a member of the crew of a Navy Liberator which destroyed five Jap planes during four recent bombing patrols, according to a news release from the Philippines. He is a member of a patrol bombing squadron attached to aircraft, Seventh fleet.
