Lt. Jack F. Miller, Trinity Graduate, Severely Wounded

First Lt. Jack F. Miller, 21, was wounded seriously in action January 22 in Luxembourg according to word received from the War Department by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller, 4050 Adams street. He has been in action since D-day with the combat engineers of the Third army.

A graduate of Trinity high school, he was attending engineering school at Ames when he entered the service two years ago. Lt. Miller received his basic training at Camp Hann, Cal., attended officer’s candidate school at Camp Davis, N. C., and was stationed at Fort Belvoir, Va., and then at Camp Bowie, Tex., before going overseas.

John Frederick “Jack" Miller was born May 30, 1923 to Fred and Agnes Miller. He died July 24, 2013.
