S. Sgt. Howard Miller, husband of Victoria Miller and son of Mrs. Lula Miller, 2731 Prospect Street, has been awarded the bronze star medal for “heroic achievement in combat.”

T. Sgt. Howard F. Miller, son of Mrs. Julia Miller, 2722 Morgan street, and husband of Mrs. Howard F. Miller, 2731 Prospect street, is on his way home, having a redeployment score of 77 points.  He has been in combat in Italy, France, Germany and Austria, and spent 19 months overseas. He has been awarded the European theater and good conduct medals, the bronze star for meritorious achievement in combat, the purple heart with one cluster, the combat infantryman’s badge and the arrowhead for direct participation in an invasion.
