Pfc. Don L. Mettet

 

SERIOUSLY HURT

Pfc. Don L. Mettet was wounded seriously in Germany March 24, while serving with an infantry tank division, according to a telegram received from the War Department by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Mettet, 1118 27th street.

Pvt. Mettet, overseas since last May, entered the service March 18, 1943, and received a year’s training at Camp Polk, La. He attended Central high school.

REPORT TWO SIOUX CITYANS WOUNDED NOW RECOVERING

Pfc. Don L Mettet, who was seriously wounded in Germany March 24, is making normal improvements, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mettet, 118 27th Street, from a hospital in France. He suffered a head would and skull fracture when he was wounded.
