McGee Is Awarded Air Medal, Cluster

2nd Lt. Roland P. McGee, reported missing in action May 1 and a prisoner of war of the German government 30 days later, has been awarded the air medal and an oak leaf cluster, his wife, who resides at 317 North First street, has been notified by the war department.

Lt. McGee, son of Mrs. Helen McGee, 170 Glen avenue, has been overseas since February, 1944. He entered the army air force in January, 1943, was graduated and awarded his co-pilot wings Nov. 3, 1943.

The award was made for participating in heavy bombardment missions over enemy occupied Continental Europe in a B-17 based in England.
