Sgt. Clarence W. McClain

 

 

 

IN UNIFORM

Sgt. Clarence W. McClain, surgical technician, has been awarded the bronze star medal for heroic achievement in connection with military operations against the enemy in New Guinea last summer. He is serving with the Dixie division on Morotai. Sgt. McClain is the son of Mrs. Harry McClain, 2606 Center street.

T. Third Class Clarence W. McClain, son of Harry L. McClain, 2602 Center Street, is a member of the first regimental mechanical detachment of the 31st infantry division to receive the meritorious service unit plaque for “outstanding duty to devotion to duty in three Pacific campaigns, New Guinea, Morotal and Mindanao.”
