GEORGE LUDWIGS—Oldest son of H. A. Ludwigs was inducted into the Army last March, and been last heard from was in Al__ta. He has another brother in the Army, Elmer Ludwigs, who is stationed at Fort Story, Va.

NEWS of the BOYS in the SERVICE

Pvt. George Ludwig, son of Henry Ludwig of Grant township, arrived home Saturday to spend a 20-day furlough. He has been serving overseas in the Aleutians the past 20 months. When his furlough is up, he will report to Camp Chaffee, Arkansas.

Pfc. Elmer Ludwigs, who has been stationed at Fort Story, Va., since his induction into the Army, has now been moved to Camp Howze, Texas. Elmer has been in the Army three years. His brother, George Ludwigs, is stationed in the same camp. They haven’t seen each other for three and a half years. They were to meet Sunday afternoon.

George H. Ludwigs was born Dec. 23, 1909 to Henry A. and Engel Margaretha Kleihauer Ludwigs. He died June 24, 1978 and is buried in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, LeMars, IA.
