Notes About N.E. Iowans in the Service
OELWEIN—Tech. Sgt. Mark S. Kustic, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kustic, of Oelwein, has received an honorable discharge from the army air forces. He served 35 months with the air corps and was a radio operator on a Flying Fortress, making 35 missions over enemy territory. He has been presented the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medals with three Oak Leaf Clusters and two battle stars.
