Notes About N.E. Iowans in the Service

PLAINFIELD—Wayne Kelly, in the 37th division chemical composite platoon, writes his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kelly, that he hopes to be home by Christmas.  His unite, stationed for several months on Luzon, expects to leave there in November and will return by way of the Panama Canal. Kelly has been overseas since May, 1943. New Caledonia, Guadalcanal, Fiji and Philippine Islands are all familiar places to him. He has been in service since October, 1942, and has never had a furlough.
