Pfc. Alvin G. Johnson

WANTS RIDE HOME.
Pfc. Alvin G. Johnson, who is on a ship somewhere in the South Pacific wrote to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Johnson, of McGregor, that the most welcome ride for him would be one for home.  He was advanced to private first class in September and at the time he wrote it was apparent that he was low in spirit.  He missed the usual snow at Christmas but says they made the best of it and had a big dinner.
