EARL F. JAGO NOW LIEUT. COLONEL IN GREAT BRITAIN

Earl F. Jago, now stationed with the American forces in England, has been promoted from major to lieutenant colonel, according to word received Tuesday by his wife, who resides at Hotel Russell-Lamson.

A World War I veteran, Jago had served in the army since recalled May 5, 1941, and had gone to England in August, 1942, after having served as camp adjutant at Camp Crowder, Neosho, Mo.

His son, Earl Jago, Jr., is with the army air corps at Kearns Field, Ida.

Earl Frederick Jago, Jr. was born Oct. 7, 1923 to Earl Fredrick (Sr.) and Hazel M. Jackson Jago. He died Apr. 14, 2015 and is buried in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery, Waterloo, IA.
