Pfc. Norris E. Hursey



Receives Word of Death in Service

OAKLAND – Mrs. Gladys Bettis Saturday received word that her brother, Pfc. Norris E. Hursey, 33, died at Moore field, Mission, Tex., Friday of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident. The message received from officials failed to disclose any other details of Pvt. Hursey’s death.

The body will be forwarded to Clio, where interment services will be held.

Prior to entering the service, Pfc. Hursey made his home with Mrs. Bettis. Other survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hursey of Clio; three brothers, Holly Hursey of Shelby, Carl Hursey of Serval and Boyd Hursey at home; and two other sisters, Alma Hursey, at home, and Mrs. Coy Shriver of Clio
