Mrs. John W. Holmes received word this week that her husband, Lt. John W. Holmes, had met and spent an evening with his brother, Ensign Pressley E. Holmes, somewhere in England.

John Wilbur Holmes was born June 13, 1915 to Thomas J. and Ida M. Goehring Holmes. He died Sept. 7, 1996 and is buried in Cambrian Cemetery, Columbus Junction, IA.
Capt. Holmes served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps Eighth Air Force in Europe.
