Corporal Louis P. Hoffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Hoffman of Merrill, has been enrolled at Fort Knox, Ky., in the armored forces school for a special course in tank mechanics.

Louis Hoffman, Cpl., Co. C, 138 Ord. Maint. Bn., APO 444, Camp Campbell, Ky., is a tank maintenance mechanic. He visited his parents, the T. F. Hoffmans in February.

Louis Peter Hoffmann was born July 1, 1920 to Theodore and Elizabeth A. Wiltgen Hoffmann. He died Jan. 16, 1998 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Cpl. Hoffmann served in World War II with the U.S. Army.
