Made Pilot at Colorado School

Jacob A. Hetrick, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Hetrick, 216 North Eighth street, has been awarded the silver wings of a pilot and commissioned a second lieutenant at the army air field in LaJunta, Col., it was announced from there Friday. Lt. Hetrick attended the high school at Oakland.

Funerals

Funeral services for 2nd Lt. Jacob Alvin Hetrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Hetrick, former Council Bluffs residents, will be held at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., in the National cemetery Sept. 23.

Lt. Hetrick was killed Feb. 6, 1945, in the Celebes islands. He was a pilot on a B-25 bomber.

Mr. and Mrs. Hetrick will arrive in Council Bluffs from Santa Ana, Calif., Sept. 21, and will be at the home of Mrs. J. B. Teeple until leaving for Jefferson Barracks.
