Cpl. Stanley C. Hamel, 115 Main street, is a member of the 894th tank destroyer battalion, which recently was awarded the French croix de guerre avec etoile de vermeil in recognition of support given French troops fighting on the Italian front.  Cpl. Hamel is a message center clerk.

Stanley C. Hamel, technician is returning from 25 months service overseas and will arrive about March 18 to visit with his wife and parents at 115 Main street.

Stanley C. Hamel, technician fifth grade, is spending a 30-day furlough with his wife at 315 S. Irene street, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hamel, 115 Main street, after serving with a tank destroyer battalion in Italy for 26 months.  After completing his furlough, he will report for further assignment at Hot Springs, Ark.

Cpl. Stanley C. Hamel, accompanied by his wife and son, have gone to Hot Springs, Ark., where Cpl. Hamel will receive his assignment to duty.  He spent a 30-day furlough in Sioux City following 25 months of duty in Italy.
