Pvt. LaDean Hagerdon left Friday for the Army induction center in Des Moines, from where he will be assigned to a camp. Mrs. Hagerdon and daughters will remain here in their home on East Main street for the duration.

LaDean J. Hagerdon was born May 15, 1913 to Ernest V. and Lillian J. West Hagerdon. He died Nov. 10, 1985 and is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mapleton, IA.
Pvt. Hagerdon served with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II.
