INDEPENDENCE—Bedecked with the numerous medals awarded for heroism on the battlefield, Sgt. Paul K. Greif, 105 Sixth avenue S.W., Independence, is soon to be honorably discharged from the Army.  Veteran of six major European campaigns, Sergeant Greif’s decorations are the Soldier’s medal for extraordinary heroism, the Silver Star medal for “gallantry in action,” and the Bronze Star medal for “heroic achievement in battle.”  Overseas 18 months, Sergeant Greif entered the service in March, 1943.
