Albert John Friebe, chief carpenter’s mate, 1606 Ingleside avenue, has been commended by his commanding officer on the U.S.S. Pennsylvania for excellent performance of duty on the night of August 12 when the battleship was torpedoed by a Jap plane in Buckner bay, Okinawa.
