Lt. Leon D. Foderberg

 

 

TO REPORT TO ARMY HOSPITAL

2nd Lt. Leon D. Foderberg, 447 Park avenue, will report to the O’Reilly General hospital after an 11-day leave with his wife and two sons, Denny and Gregory here. Foderberg will undergo treatment for wounds received south of Leghorn in Italy, where he was forward observer for the field artillery. Overseas for nine months, he received the purple heart for his wounds.

Foderberg, who entered the army after his graduation from Iowa State college at Ames, was commissioned at field artillery school at Fort Sill, Okla. His wife is the former Zona Quick.

Leon Durand Foderberg was born Feb. 21, 1917 to George Eugene and Bertha Henrietta Krauel Foderberg. He died July 13, 1993 and is buried in Chariton Cemetery, Chariton, IA.
