LOCAL MEN ARE GIVEN PROMOTIONS
Given temporary promotions from second to first lieutenants are two Council Bluffs men, the war department said at Washington Thursday. They are Francis A. Fariday, Jr., and Hubert Tinley, Jr., both infantry officers.

Francis Anthony Fariday, Jr. was born Nov. 13, 1911 to Francis (Sr.) and Beulah Elizabeth Davis Fariday. He died Dec. 2, 1966 and is buried in Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland, FL.
