Cpl. Thurce N. Erickson, son of Herman L. Erickson, 3300 Meyers avenue, has been serving in England for 10 months as a radio mechanic with the 364th fighter group.

Cpl. Thurce N. Erickson, son of Herman L. Erickson, 3300 Meyers street, radio mechanic in the 364th fighter group, has been awarded the good conduct medal for exemplary behavior, efficiency and fidelity in a year’s service, according to a news story from an Eighth air force fighter station, England. Cpl. Erickson is authorized to wear two unit battle participation bronze stars on his European theater of operations ribbon. He attended Central high school prior to entering the army.
