NEWS of the BOYS in the SERVICE.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Emmick of Westfield received word a few days ago that Stanley Emmick, their son, was reported missing in action over New Guinea, where he had been for some time.

Stanley Duane Emmick was born Sept. 6, 1924 to Frank N. and Josephine Olive Jacobson Emmick. He became MIA June 22, 1944 and a FOD was issued for Feb. 15, 1946. He is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Sgt. Emmick served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 13th Bomb Squadron, 3rd Bomb Group, Light and was MIA/KIA in New Guinea. He was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
