PROMOTED
Lyle E. Doty, formerly of Council Bluffs, has been promoted to captain in the classification office of army engineers at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., according to word received by his wife at 3484 Meredith avenue, Omaha.
He is the son of Guy M. Doty of Council Bluffs and has a brother and two sisters residing here.
