Sheldon, Ia.--Private Thomas DeGroot is home on a furlough visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard DeGroot. He is stationed at Milleville, N. J., at an Army air base.

Thomas DeGroot was born Oct. 1, 1919 to Dick and Elizabeth Kleyne DeGroot. He died Mar. 7, 1976 and is buried in Sheridan Township Cemetery, Boyden, IA.
