IN UNIFORM.

Cpl. Charles W. Cropley, 103 Cecelia street, is a member of the 325th medical battalion which has just been awarded the meritorious service unit plaque for superior performance of duty during its service in France. 

The citation read:  “By direction of the President, the meritorious service unit plaque is awarded to the 325th medical battalion for superior performance of duty achievement of a high standard of discipline.”

IN UNIFORM.

Charles William Cropley, 103 Cecelia street, has been promoted to sergeant in the 100th division of the Seventh Army, following campaign in France and Germany.  The division fought through the Vosges mountains on the Maginot line and drove the enemy from Heilbronn, key communications on the Neckar river in Germany.
