Sgt. Robert L. Cranny

 

GIVEN PURPLE HEART

For wounds received in action, the purple heart has been awarded to Sgt. Robert L. Cranny, son of Mrs. B. J. Cranny, 2515 Pierce street. He was wounded in December while serving with the infantry in Germany. He has been in service for 19 months and has been overseas since September.

Sgt. Robert L. Cranny, who formerly resided at 2515 Pierce street, recently was promoted to his present rank with the 99th infantry division, Company C, 399th Infantry regiment.  He is the son of Mrs. Theresa Cranny, and has been in service 18 months.
