Pvt. Leslie Cox, whom the war department recently announced as killed in action in the Mediterranean, is the brother of Fred E. Cox, 116 Jordan street, with whom he made his home.

Three War Dead Back for Burial
All Returned from Italian War Zone

The bodies of three Pottawattamie county war dead have been returned to the United States from Italy aboard the army transport Lawrence Victory.

The body of Pvt. Leslie Cox, brother of Fred E. Cox, 116 Jordan street, will be shipped directly to Schroeder mortuary in Boone. Fred, as next of kin, is handling the arrangements, but burial will be in a Boone cemetery.

NOTE: Pvt. Leslie Cox was born September 16, 1916. He was served with the 30th Infantry of the 3rd Infantry Division. He was killed in action October 26, 1943, and was interred at Rose Hill Cemetery, Boone, Iowa.
