COMPLETES PRIMARY TRAINING

Air Cadet Irving Cohen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cohen, 37 North Seventh street, has finished his primary training at Blytta, Calif., and is now at Gardner field, Taft, Calif., for his basic training.

COMPLETES TRAINING

Lt. Irving Cohen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cohen, 37 North Seventh street, has completed the army air forces training command’s four-engine pilot course at Hobbs army air field, Hobbs, N. M. Completion of this transition training qualifies Lt. Cohen as a Flying Fortress commander.

Local Youth Is Reported Missing

Lt. Irving Cohen, 23, has been reported missing in action over Germany since Nov. 25, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cohen, 37 North Seventh street, have been notified.

Pilot of a B-17 bomber, Lt. Cohen was graduated from the flight school at Marfa, Tex., He is also a graduate of Abraham Lincoln high school and attended the University of Nebraska. He had recently completed an orientation course at an air service command station in England.

Lt. Cohen entered the army air force in February, 1942 and has been overseas since Oct. 31.

2nd Lt. Cohen served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
