Private John Leonard Claude, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Claude, 2221 Boise Street, has completed a course of study in army air force clerical duties at the Colorado State College of Education.

MEN AND WOMEN IN SERVICE.

Corporal John L. Claude, son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Claude, 2221 Boise Street, has been graduated from the intensive course in chemical warfare at an Eighth air force service command in England. He attended Central High School and was employed at the Toy National Bank at the time of his induction in January, 1943.

John L. Claude, son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Claude, 2221 Boise street, has been promoted from the rank of corporal to that of sergeant.  He is now serving as a personnel clerk with the air service command stationed in England.  He was employed by the Toy National Bank prior to entering service in January, 1943.

John Leonard Claude was born Feb. 11, 1923 to John and Sarah Alma Peckham Claude. He died May 23, 1995 and is buried in East Lawn Cemetery, Algona, IA.
