Private First Class Gordon Neil Christensen, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. C.N. Jepson, 843 17th Street, has arrived at Northwestern State College, Alva, Oklahoma, four courses in army air forces instruction lasting approximately five months prior to his appointment as an aviation cadet in the army air forces.

Aviation Cadet Gordon N. Christensen arrived home Monday to spend a 14-day convalescent leave with his mother, Mrs. Marjorie Christensen, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Jepson, 843 17th street. He is at primary flight school in Uvalde, Tex.

Second Lt. Gordon N. Christensen, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Jepson, 843 17th Street, arrived in Sioux City Friday from Hondo, Texas, where he graduated on November 6 from the army air forces flight engineer school. His class was the last of B-29 flight engineers to be graduated from the school and to receive the flight engineer’s wing. He was commissioned second lieutenant.

Gordon Neil Christesen was born Nov. 13, 1923 to Clarence and Marjorie Jepson Christensen. He died July 17, 2005 and is buried in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Detroit Lakes, MN.
