HONORED AT REUNION

Earl Chaussee, home on furlough from the Great Lakes naval training station, was honored at a family reunion at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Chaussee, 4000 Lakeport road.

IN UNIFORM

Earl J. Chaussee, seaman first class, is spending a 20-day leave with his parents, 4000 Lakeport road. He has been aboard one of the Navy’s fast carriers as a gunner during fleet operations from the Wake Island raid in October of 1943 to the strikes on Tokyo in February of this year. During that period he experienced many Japanese aerial attacks and took part in the battle of the Philippine sea and the battle for Leyte gulf.
