Joseph Budak Is On Missing List
in Pacific Zone
Joseph Paul Budak, aviation radioman third class, Friday was listed as missing in action in the Pacific, according to a navy department telegram received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Budak, 317 Gable street.
A graduate of St. Mary’s high school, he entered the navy in June, 1943, received his boot training at Great Lakes, Ill., and radio gunnery schooling at Memphis, Tenn., and Hollywood, Fla. He began his sea duty in June.
His brother, Master Sgt. Robert N. Budak, has been serving for the past 30 months in Hawaii.
