Pfc. Marvin Brodeen

 

 

Pfc. Marvin Brodeen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Brodeen, 1118 S. Mulberry street, was wounded in action on February 21, 1945, in Iwo Jima, according to word received by his parents.

Pfc. Brodeen is a graduate of East high school and enlisted in the Marine Corps in January, 1943. He took his initial training in the marine base at San Diego, Cal. He was previously with the marine paratroopers, but had been transferred to the Fifth marine corps.

MARINE WOUNDED

A message has been received by Mr. and Mrs. John E. Brodeen, 1118 S. Mulberry street, that their son, Pfc. Marvin Brodeen, was wounded in action of February 21, 1945, in Iwo Jima. He had been serving with the Fifth Marine Corps. Pfc. Brodeen is a graduate of East high school.
