2nd Lt. Roy Brinkerhoff

 

 

 

Roy Brinkerhoff, son of Mrs. Gladys Brinkerhoff, 518 Main street, has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army air forces after completing bombardier training at the Carlsbad army air field, N. M.  His wife is the former June Gary, 414 W. 24th street.

Received Wings – Pictured from left to right are Second Lt. Earl T. Henderson and his friend, Miss Mary McCrory, Artesian, N.M., Second Lt. Roy M. Brinkerhoff and his friend, Miss Jennie Pentecost, Arterian, N.M. Lt. Henderson and Lt. Brinkerhoff are having their new bars and wings pinned on by the young women following their graduation from Carlsbad, N. M. airfield. The bars and wings are the reward for completing the 24-week course in bombarding and navigation. Before their advanced course on this field, they spent 16 months at various air forces stations. Lt. Brinkerhoff is the son of Mrs. Gladys Brinkerhoff, who resides at 518 Main Street, Sioux City.
