Leonard Brincks Returns Home Tuesday Night

Leonard Brincks, who took part in the D-Day invasion of Normandy, came home last night, having received his discharge at Camp Grant, Ill., yesterday noon. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe A. Brincks.

Pfc. Brincks was discharged three years to the day that he went into the army. He had been overseas approximately two years.

Serving with the Fourth Infantry Division, he participated in battles and campaigns in Normandy, the Rhineland, Central Europe and Germany.

He has the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in France which hospitalized him for three months.

He also has the E. T. O. ribbons with four battle stars; the invasion arrowhead for Normandy; Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory medal. He has shared in a Presidential unit citation.
