Ensign James R. Bolton




James Ross Bolton, 22, 1518 Ross Street, has received an appointment to the merchant marine academy at King’s Point, New York, and has reported for duty at the basic school at Pass Christian, Mississippi.

James Ross Bolton, cadet midshipman, son of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Bolten, 1518 Ross Street, is attending the merchant marine academy at Kings Point, N.Y. On graduation he will be qualified to serve as a third officer in the merchant marine. Before entering the school for advanced training he completed six and one-half months of sea training aboard a merchant ship.

Cadet-Midshipman James Ross Bolton, son of Mrs. Ethel C. Bolton, 1518 Ross street, was graduated from the Merchant Marine academy at Kings Point, N.Y., October 19. Ensign Bolton received his license as third mate and an ensign's commission in the maritime service and the United States Naval Reserve. Ensign Bolton attended the Marathon, Ia., high school and was graduated from Morningside college in 1942.
