DECLARED DEAD
1st Lt. Merroll J. Berringer, son of Mrs. Ernest Baggs, 1656 Madison avenue, has been officially declared dead. Lt. Berringer was last seen flying a photo mission over Nimrod sound on Nov. 21, 1944, from his Suichwan, central China base. A sister, Mrs. Mildred Greenlee, and his father, Vern, both live at Clarinda. His wife, Mary A., formerly of Villisca, now lives at St. Joseph, Mo.

NOTE: Lt. Merroll J. Berringer was born March 3, 1920. There is a memorial stone for Lt. Berringer at the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Manila, Philippines, and another at Clarinda Cemetery, Clarinda, Iowa, which is shared with his father, Vern Berringer. ~ findagrave.com
