Alvin Albers, Belmond, Accepted by Navy;
Joins “Seabees” Unit
Alvin Albers, Belmond, was accepted for enlistment by the local navy recruiting office in the federal building and left for Des Moines for his final physical examination.
He will enter the construction regiment of the navy, known as the “Seabees” unit.
