Earl H. Johnson was born July 17, 1911 to William and Mary Hunst Johnson. He died May 22, 1949 and is buried in Belmond Cemetery, Belmond, IA. Pvt. Johnson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 276th Coast Artillery.

Willard served in World War II with the U.S. Army in the battles of Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, and Rhineland in Central Europe. He was awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, Silver Battle Star, Three Overseas Service Bars, Good Conduct Medal and the Belgian Fourragere Award.

Fred Gaylord “Gaylord” Jones was born Sept. 17, 1918 to George and Iva Meiers Jones. He died Mar. 27, 2015 and is buried in the French Cemetery, Woolstock, IA.

MSgt. Jones served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps at an air base outside of England where he supervised the loading and unloading of ordnance.
