Hugh Edward VanSlyke was born June 1899 to Moses Carlisle and Daisy Blanch Slasson VanSlyke. He died Oct. 28, 1942 and is buried in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

Sgt. VanSlyke served in World War II with the U.S. Army and died while in the service of his country. He also served in World War I.

Harold Samuel Varley was born Oct. 5, 1906 to Samuel Lonsdale and Mary Jane Fryett Varley. He died Sept. 27, 1946 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

Cpl. Varley served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 423rd Base Unit.

Harold Max Vogt was born Jan. 8, 1917 to Max F. and Lena Witmer Vogt. He diedJune 2, 1990 and is buried in Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, Fort Leavenworth, KS.

1st Lt. Vogt served with the U.S. Army in World War II and Korea.

Max F. Vogt, Jr. was born Dec. 9, 1924 to Max F. and Lena Witmer Vogt. He died May 9, 1943 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Pender, NE.

Sgt. Vogt served with the U.S. Army 304th Signal Company in World War II.

Clarence D. Voris was born May 31, 1920 to Harry Scott and Eula Deputy Voris. He died Feb. 8, 1977 in OR. Clarence served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
