Dominic Joseph Tierno was born Jan. 16, 1920 to Louis Joseph and Angela DeFazio Tierno. He died Oct. 14, 1944 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery, Saint Avold, France.

Pvt. Tierno served in World War II with the U.S. Army 313th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Verner Claud Timm was born Mar. 25, 1921 to Claude Carl and Irene Timm. He died Sept. 28, 1943 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Timm served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Cisco (SS-290) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when that vessel was sunk, probably by air and surface attack in the Sulu Sea west of Mindanao, Philippine Islands. He was awarded the Purple Heart
