Earl Eugene Snell, Jr. was born June 8, 1917 to Earl Eugene (Sr.) and Helen Higman Snell. He died Sept. 11, 1942 and has a cenotaph in Logan Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

Capt. Snell served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 39th Bomb Group, 402nd Bomb Squadron as a pilot on B-24D Liberator #41-23855 which went off course during a training flight and crashed into Mt. Baldy, in the White Mountain Range at the Arizona-New Mexico border.

Ernest Warren Snelling was born Aug. 11, 1920 to Peter Alfred and Gina Retrum Snelling. He died May 11, 1945 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

Pvt. Snelling served in World War II with the U.S. Army 383rd Infantry, 96th Division and died on Okinawa Island, Ryukyu Islands as a result of wounds he received in action while serving his country.
