Lyle Dean Maas was born May 16, 1926 to Paul and Rumilda Louise Hammer Maas. He died Sept. 1, 1948. 

Lyle served with the U.S. Navy and died in a plane crash near San Diego, CA. His body was not recovered.

Leo Albert “Dutch” Mack was born Oct. 23, 1906 to Thomas and Ellen Bevy Mack. He died Mar. 5, 1978 and is buried in San Fernando Mission Cemetery, Mission Hills, CA.

Leo served in World War II.

Louis Henry Madsen was born Apr. 22, 1902 to Fred C. and Bergitha “Bertha” Bertelsen Madsen. He died Sept. 23, 1970 and is buried in Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. 

Pvt. Madsen served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

George Nels Maklebust was born Dec. 24, 1920 to Mike and Walborg Anderson Maklebust. He died Nov. 25, 1944 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 1, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Petty Officer Maklebust served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Liscome Bay (CVE-56) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when that vessel was torpedoed and sank, while participating in the capture of the Gilbert Islands. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Leslie Mathias Marousek was born Mar. 22, 1916 to Edward and Alice Maude Pedley Marousek. He died Feb. 5, 1948 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

Sgt. Marousek served in World War II with the U.S. Army 19th Tank Battalion.

Forrest Merrill Marsh was born July 2, 1920 to Clayton and Esther Kistner Marsh. He died Sept. 9, 2002 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

Forest served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Merle Clinton Marsh was born May 5, 1926 to Clayton and Esther Kistner Marsh. He died Oct. 15, 2017 and is buried in Carbondale Cemetery, Carbondale, KS.

Merle served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a tail gunner on a B-17 bomber.

Richard Darlwell Martin was born Feb. 23, 1923 to Verne and Rose Mae Gunsolley Martin. He died Nov. 4, 1988 in San Diego, CA.

Cpl. Martin served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Robert Lee Martin was born Apr. 10, 1919 to Roy Martin and Retta Mae Chenoweth. He died Apr. 29, 1941 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA. 

Petty Officer Martin served in World War II with the U.S. Naval Air Corps Torpedo Squadron aboard the USS Lexington (CV-2). His plane crashed at Kula, Maui, Hawaii.

Henry served in World War II with the U.S. Army Airways Communication Service in South America and Ascension Island.

Henry Glenn Maysonholder is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
