William Donald “Bill” Hearn was born Aug. 15, 1921 to Walter E. and Anna J. Ness Hearn. He died July 5, 1944 and is buried in Live Oak Memorial Park, Monrovia, CA.

2nd Lt. Hearn served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was killed during a training mission while piloting a Republic P-47D.

Alex Herko was born Feb. 5, 1920 to Tony and Olga Marcovich Herko. He died May 22, 1945 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA. He was initially buried in the 6th Marine Division Cemetery on Okinawa and returned to the U.S. in 1948.

Cpl. Herko served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps HQ Company, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines, 6th Marine Division and participated in combat operations until KIA on Okinawa.
