Joseph Harold Haffits was born Mar. 23, 1921 to Samuel and Bertha Merlin Haffits. He died Jan. 4, 1945 and is buried in Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg.

Sgt. Haffits served in World War II with the U.S. Army 8th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division and was KIA in Luxembourg and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Joseph Murry AKA Murray Joseph Hall was born Dec. 31, 1923 to Murry Joseph and Beulah Hall. He died Dec. 15, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Hall served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Nevada (BB-36) and USS Pecos (AO-6) which was bombed by enemy planes and sank in the open sea south of Java. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

Irving Reynolds Halstead was born about 1924 and was the adopted son of Taylor Howe and Frances Reynolds Halstead. He died Sept. 11, 1943 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.

Petty Officer Halstead served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and died in the service of his country and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Dan Harley Hansen was born Nov. 9, 1924 to Martin and Betty Bray Hansen. He died Dec. 10, 1950 and has a cenotaph in Correctionville Cemetery, Correctionville, IA.

Pvt. Hansen served in World War II with the U.S. Army. He also served in Korea with the 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division and became a POW. He was forced to march to North Korea on the “Tiger Death March” and died while a prisoner at Hanjang-ni, North Korea. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, POW Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

Raymond Harold Hanson was born Oct. 22, 1920 to Algot William and Ethel Lundquist Hanson. He died May 3, 1943 and is buried in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

2nd Lt. Hanson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 373rd Fighter Squadron, 360th Fighter Group and was killed in the crash on takeoff of RP-38E Lightning #41-2120 at Muroc Army Air Base, California.

Harry John Harder was born Mar. 2, 1922 to Albert J. and Margaret Luce Harder. He died Apr. 7, 2002 in Denver, CO.

Harry served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Allan Eldred Harvey was born Jan. 20, 1926 to Eldred C. and Anna Ruth Bennett Harvey. He died Feb. 21, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 3, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Springfield Cemetery, Springfield, SD.

Petty Officer Harvey served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Bismarck Sea (CVE-95) which was sunk by two Japanese kamikazes with the loss of 318 men and was the last U.S. Navy aircraft carrier to be lost during World War II.

Jack Clayton Harvey was born Aug. 23, 1917 to Fred Charles and Johannah M. Hilker Harvey. He died Sept. 18, 1983 and is buried in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL.

Cpl. Harvey served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Pvt. Hay served in World War II with the U.S. Army 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division and died of wounds received in action in the Southwest Pacific area. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
