Leo Lloyd Grass was born Nov. 8, 1924 to John E. and Nettie Dell Groves Grass. He died Jan. 7, 1945 and is buried in Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg.

Pvt. Grass served in World War II with the U.S. Army 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment and was awarded the Purple Heart.

James Arwin Gray was born July 14, 1924 to Ralph and Lydia M. Gray. He died June 21, 1945 and is buried in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. He was originally buried in the 1st Marine Division Cemetery on Okinawa and returned to the U.S. in 1949.

Pvt. Gray served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division and was KIA in combat operations on Okinawa.

Israel Jack “Jack” Greenberg was born Oct. 22. 1914 to Aaron and Julia Miller Greenberg. He died July 22, 1944 and is buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

Lt. Greenberg served in World War II with the U.S. Naval Air Corps and died in Brazil while on active duty.
